Los Ninos de la Esperanza
The twelve beautiful children to the right are orphans under the care of Martin, his wife Elena, and their two daughters. This great family from Mexicali has dedicated their lives to the well-being of many children in the community. Unfortunately, in the past few years Martin and the orphan children have become victims to several unfortunate circumstances.
This family used to provide his orphan children with a comfortable home to live in. Their residence had more space to enjoy and large yard to play in. In 2005, their home burned down, and today, Martin, Elena, their two daughters and their twelve orphan children live in a two-bedroom, one-bathroom townhome.
Martin and his family have continued to provide for the twelve children, despite their new living conditions. The townhouse they now call home has a small cement patio barricaded by barbed wire. During Mexicali’s long hot summers, the cement patio becomes so hot that the children burn the bottom of their feet. Martin’s one-bathroom is shared by all sixteen people in the household, but yet the restroom lacks proper plumbing and the children live in a home which has become far too unsanitary and unhealthy to live in. Additionally, the school bus seen in the photo above was a donated bus that Martin would transport the kids to school, parks and weekend outings. That school bus was recently vandalized and is no longer functioning.
We are working along side community churches and volunteers to help this family provide these children a better life, and our goal is to fundraise enough money to build these children a new home. These innocent children deserve all of our support. Valuaciones Montaña Verde is eagerly asking the real estate community of Mexicali, Baja California and all of Mexico to come together during this holiday season to give a little joy to these children.
